Canada Southern Speed Limits

General Speed Restrictions along the CASO from selected employee timetables. There are many other various speed restrictions based on specific locations as well as specific equipment. Since these are very complicated and vary greatly from timetable to timetable, I have chosen not to list these at this time. If you require more specific speed restrictions from a specific timetable, please contact me.

Note 2-Freight trains under 4300 tons=50 mph. Freight trains 4300 to 6700 tons=45 mph. Freight trains over 6700 tons=40 mph

Note 3 - Passenger/Mail/Express trains at Pelton, Fargo, Yarmouth & E&O = 60 mph.

Note 5 - Passenger/Mail/Express trains at Canfield = 50 mph.
