How to read the Track Charts

Lots of information can be found on the track charts. Everything from track elevation, curvature, road, rail and water crossings, track speeds, size of rail and how old it is, when were the ties last replaced and so on. Reading both items below should be able to help you determine exactly what all the information means. It should be noted that the track charts displayed on based on 1979 Conrail information.
